This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi, a bar/lounge area, and excellent breakfast. The staff gave great restaurant recommendations on my first visit, making me feel welcomed. Highly recommend for a cozy stay. I'm coming back for Xmas!

It was just a commendable fit for a weekend jaunt in Thirsk with great value. Breakfast was well served and very nice. Look out for improvements as new management settles in.

stayed at the vale for a race day and loved every minute. our room was clean and comfortable, and it was a bonus that it was ready before check-in time. the staff were so welcoming, which made our stay even better. it's just a short walk to the races, perfect for us.

The stay was quite disappointing due to some mismanagement. We arrived to find that the room I booked was given away, and the replacement room was cramped with barely any space to move. the location next to overflowing industrial bins was unpleasant. Despite the lovely staff, the overall experience left much to be desired.

I had a great stay in a Double Room. The food was astonishingly delicious, especially the homemade sauces. The staff were friendly and attentive, making my experience enjoyable. The room was clean and comfy. Lots of local beers available. 🍻

me and my wife had an amazin time at vale of york hotel. the food was just wow, especially the lamb cutlets with homemade mint jelly sauce. our family room was clean and comfy, perfect for us and could’ve even fit more peeps if needed. breakfast was fab with endless hot drinks, i loved it. the staff were super friendly and even surprised me with a cake for my birthday, which was a lovely touch!

the only thing was the decor could use a lil update, and some parts felt a bit dusty. also, the smoke inside from vaping was annoying but other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Loved the friendly vibe here! The room was nicer than expected, and had all the little things like tea and coffee ready to go. Breakfast was decent too. Just a heads up, the lighting in the hallway could get ya if you're not careful. it went dark on our way back from dinner. a comfy place to crash.

i had a lovely time walking to nearby attractions like the world of james herriot and st mary's church, which made my city strolls super enjoyable and convenient during my stay, and while some aspects of the hotel could use improvement, the location truly enhanced my experience.

The manager, newly at the helm, warmly welcomed us and provided excellent breakfast service, accommodating our needs despite the absence of meals earlier in the day. While the experience was brightened by friendly locals, the lack of food availability was a disappointment.

Upon arrival, I encountered issues with room cleanliness, as my room had not been vacuumed, with bits of gravel present. The bathroom required significant attention, with dampness and unclean grouting visible, affecting the overall comfort. the breakfast served was tasty and made to order, which was a pleasant surprise considering the condition of the room.
